HYDROPHYTIC VEGETATION WORKSHOP Holiday Inn Atlantic City March 20 - 22 , 2002 Proposed changes to the list of wetland indicator plant species (hydrophytic vegetation) have caused a great deal of controversy lately. Some scientists and regulators feel that the change in indicator status of several of the species will result in drastic changes to our wetland inventory. Not all of the regulatory agencies with management and regulatory tasks for wetlands have signed the agreement proposing the changes. The Reilly Group, and The Wetlands Regulatory Workgroup have joined together with several state, local, and federal agencies to put on a workshop dealing with hydrophytic vegetation and the controversy surrounding the proposed changes to the wetland indicator plant list. Scientists, regulators, resource managers, consultants, trade groups, students, environmentalists, and others are welcome to attend this important workshop. It will be held from mid-day Wednesday March 20 through Friday March 22 at The Holiday Inn Boardwalk in Atlantic City NJ. For more information see the information and the links below.
